How long do press-on nails last?
Honest numbers, and the habits that stretch them.
The short answer: with nail glue, a Daisy set lasts 2–3 weeks of full-time wear — showers, gym and dishes included. With adhesive tabs, each wear lasts 1–3 days, but the set itself survives up to 20 wears. A single hard-gel set, cared for, outlives months of salon appointments.
What makes the difference
Almost every early lift traces back to one thing: the nail wasn't clean at application. Oil, dust, or leftover polish under the press-on breaks the bond from day one. Buff matte, wipe thoroughly, apply to a bone-dry nail — that's most of the battle.
Habits that add days
Gloves for long dishwashing and cleaning sessions. Open cans with a spoon, not your nails — they're jewellery, not tools. Fingertip pads for heavy typing if you're hard on your hands. Daily cuticle oil on the skin keeps everything healthy underneath without touching the bond.
Salt water, sunscreen, Dubai summers
The hard-gel seal doesn't dull from sea water or sunscreen — beach weekends are fine. The first 2 hours after application are the only truly fragile window: keep hands dry while the bond cures.
Up to 20 wears from one set
After a soak-off removal, rub away leftover adhesive, wash the nails with soap, dry fully, and store the set in its keepsake tin. Fresh tabs and two minutes are all the next wear needs. Most of our regulars rotate three or four sets this way.
